I am Enough Now and Always

I am enough now and always- Gabrielle Dominguez

This week’s message came through in a way I didn’t expect.

After feeling sick, slowing down, and being forced into stillness… I found myself questioning what I wanted to share. So I pulled a card.

The message was simple:
“I am enough now and always.”

Alongside it was an image of the ocean… full of life. Coral reefs, movement, depth, beauty in every direction.

And it clicked.

From a young age, many of us were taught that our value comes from how much we do.
How hard we work.
How productive we are.

So what happens when life asks us to slow down?

When we get sick…
When plans change…
When we don’t complete everything on our to-do list…

Do we suddenly become less worthy?

These subconscious patterns can be so subtle that we don’t even realize they’re there.

We feel discomfort in stillness.
Restlessness in our own presence.
Guilt for not “doing enough.”

But life doesn’t move in a straight line.

It moves in waves.

Just like the ocean… we experience highs, lows, stillness, and movement. Expecting ourselves to perform at the same level every single day is unrealistic.

And honestly… exhausting.

A Personal Reflection

I remember as a child feeling so excited to show my achievements to my parents… waiting to hear how proud they were of me.

And now, as an adult, I’ve realized something.

What I was truly searching for… was my own recognition.

Not just for what I accomplish.

But for who I am… in every moment.

Especially the imperfect ones.

Recently, I caught myself in one of those moments:

“Hey Gabby… you got sick this week. You didn’t get everything done.”

And instead of criticizing myself, I tried something different.

“I am so proud of you for slowing down.
For taking care of yourself.
For giving your body what it needs to heal.”

That shift changed everything.

You Are Not Meant to Be Perfect

We often set expectations for ourselves that don’t match where we actually are.

We want the end result… immediately.

But what if instead, we met ourselves where we are?

You want to feel stronger, healthier, more aligned… but haven’t been consistent yet?

Celebrate showing up once this week.

Why?

Because that’s real. That’s honest. That’s sustainable.

You Are a Work of Art

Think of your life like a masterpiece in progress.

Would you stand behind an artist and criticize every brushstroke while they’re still creating?

Of course not.

You would observe in awe.
Appreciate the process.
Trust the unfolding.

So why do we treat ourselves any differently?

You are not something to fix.

You are something to experience.
To shape.
To appreciate as you evolve.

A Gentle Reminder

The version of “perfect” you’re chasing doesn’t exist.

But something even more beautiful does.

The moment you realize…

You were always enough.
You were always worthy.
Exactly as you are.

Even now.
Especially now.
