Slow Down
Slow Down- Gabrielle Dominguez
Slowing down isn’t always our natural response.
In fact, most of the time… we do the opposite.
We speed up.
We rush through tasks.
We try to get to the end as quickly as possible.
Somewhere along the way, we were taught that success is measured by how much we achieve… and how fast we achieve it.
So what happens when life forces us to slow down?
When we feel burnt out…
When unexpected challenges arise…
When things don’t go according to plan…
We often begin to question ourselves.
We feel guilt.
We feel behind.
We feel like we’re not doing enough.
But what if slowing down isn’t a setback?
What if it’s actually the shift that brings everything into alignment?
Moving Slower Changes the Experience
One thing I’ve personally noticed is this:
When I move slower… life feels different.
Challenges don’t feel as overwhelming.
They begin to feel more like lessons.
Instead of feeling like I’m being thrown into something all at once, it feels like I’m taking micro-steps through the experience.
There’s more space to process.
More space to respond.
More space to understand.
Slower Can Actually Be More Efficient
This might sound counterintuitive.
But slowing down has actually made me more efficient.
When I move slower, I become more intentional.
I make more thoughtful decisions.
I choose paths that actually move me forward.
When I rush, I’ve noticed I tend to spin in circles… trying to force quick solutions that don’t actually work.
Speed doesn’t always equal efficiency.
We’ve just been conditioned to believe it does.
You Can’t Keep Cutting with a Dull Knife
At some point, moving fast without pause leads to burnout.
Think of it like this:
If you’re cutting food with a knife that’s been used over and over again without being sharpened… it’s going to slow you down.
No matter how fast you try to go.
But when you take the time to sharpen the knife, everything becomes smoother. Easier. More effective.
The same applies to us.
Self-care, rest, and recalibration are not distractions.
They are the very things that allow us to move forward with clarity and energy.
A Different Way to Move Through Life
The version of you that has everything you desire…
Wouldn’t be rushing.
Wouldn’t be forcing.
Wouldn’t be operating from pressure.
They would move with intention.
With calm.
With trust in each step.
Because they understand that the foundation they build now determines everything ahead.
A Gentle Reflection
How have you been moving through life lately?
Fast… rushed… trying to keep up?
Or slow… intentional… present?
And how might slowing down actually support you in reaching your goals?
I am Enough Now and Always
I am enough now and always- Gabrielle Dominguez
This week’s message came through in a way I didn’t expect.
After feeling sick, slowing down, and being forced into stillness… I found myself questioning what I wanted to share. So I pulled a card.
The message was simple:
“I am enough now and always.”
Alongside it was an image of the ocean… full of life. Coral reefs, movement, depth, beauty in every direction.
And it clicked.
From a young age, many of us were taught that our value comes from how much we do.
How hard we work.
How productive we are.
So what happens when life asks us to slow down?
When we get sick…
When plans change…
When we don’t complete everything on our to-do list…
Do we suddenly become less worthy?
These subconscious patterns can be so subtle that we don’t even realize they’re there.
We feel discomfort in stillness.
Restlessness in our own presence.
Guilt for not “doing enough.”
But life doesn’t move in a straight line.
It moves in waves.
Just like the ocean… we experience highs, lows, stillness, and movement. Expecting ourselves to perform at the same level every single day is unrealistic.
And honestly… exhausting.
A Personal Reflection
I remember as a child feeling so excited to show my achievements to my parents… waiting to hear how proud they were of me.
And now, as an adult, I’ve realized something.
What I was truly searching for… was my own recognition.
Not just for what I accomplish.
But for who I am… in every moment.
Especially the imperfect ones.
Recently, I caught myself in one of those moments:
“Hey Gabby… you got sick this week. You didn’t get everything done.”
And instead of criticizing myself, I tried something different.
“I am so proud of you for slowing down.
For taking care of yourself.
For giving your body what it needs to heal.”
That shift changed everything.
You Are Not Meant to Be Perfect
We often set expectations for ourselves that don’t match where we actually are.
We want the end result… immediately.
But what if instead, we met ourselves where we are?
You want to feel stronger, healthier, more aligned… but haven’t been consistent yet?
Celebrate showing up once this week.
Why?
Because that’s real. That’s honest. That’s sustainable.
You Are a Work of Art
Think of your life like a masterpiece in progress.
Would you stand behind an artist and criticize every brushstroke while they’re still creating?
Of course not.
You would observe in awe.
Appreciate the process.
Trust the unfolding.
So why do we treat ourselves any differently?
You are not something to fix.
You are something to experience.
To shape.
To appreciate as you evolve.
A Gentle Reminder
The version of “perfect” you’re chasing doesn’t exist.
But something even more beautiful does.
The moment you realize…
You were always enough.
You were always worthy.
Exactly as you are.
Even now.
Especially now.
Float Like a Feather
Float Like a Feather - Gabrielle Dominguez
This week, I am taking time to rest and recover as I move through a cold.
And in this stillness, I noticed something…
That familiar feeling of needing to do something.
The thoughts that say, “This isn’t how the week should look.”
It made me reflect on a recent experience that reminded me of a different way of being.
I recently came back from a trip to the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, and it was nothing short of magical.
What made it even more special was how unplanned it all was.
We went in with minimal research, no strict itinerary… just allowing each day to unfold naturally.
At first, this brought up a lot of discomfort for me.
I felt uneasy.
Like I should have planned more.
Like I needed to know what was coming next.
But being in a brand new environment, I slowly felt that need for control begin to unravel.
By the second morning, something shifted.
I woke up early at our Airbnb, tucked at the top of a mountain in Gatlinburg. While we didn’t have a direct view of the sunrise, the view of the forest was breathtaking.
I sat on the balcony, taking it all in.
And then I heard it…
A young child singing in the distance.
Birds harmonizing alongside the melody.
Even a crow perched nearby, as if it was listening too.
It was one of those moments you can’t plan.
And in that moment, I felt an overwhelming sense of peace and joy.
I continued my morning with meditation, yoga, and a walk further up the mountain…
And just like that, the need for control had faded.
From that point forward, I let go.
I allowed myself to float like a feather.
Not needing to know where we were going next.
Not needing to plan every detail.
Just trusting each moment as it came.
And because of that, the trip became one of the most memorable and present experiences I’ve had.
It reminded me that life doesn’t always need to be controlled to be beautiful.
Sometimes, the most meaningful moments come when we allow ourselves to soften… and trust the flow.
So I leave you with this:
Where in your life are you being called to loosen your grip?
Where can you allow yourself to flow a little more freely?

The Law of Detachment
The Law of Detachment - Gabrielle Dominguez
This week’s message comes at a time where I am personally learning the law of detachment on many levels.
The law of detachment is the concept of letting go of control.
Letting go of the things that bring us comfort, even when they no longer serve us.
Sometimes we release with ease.
And other times… it can feel deeply uncomfortable.
This week, I experienced that firsthand.
It saddens me to share that my Buffalo Grove office will be coming to an end at the end of April.
When I first began renting this space back in October, I knew there was uncertainty around the future. Still, I held hope that it would continue longer.
So when I received the news last Friday, it hit me. I felt disheartened. Uncertain. A part of me wanted to hold on and find a way to control the situation.
But instead, I chose something different.
I gave myself space to feel.
I went for a walk in nature, allowed everything to come up, and focused on simply breathing. As my nervous system began to settle, I felt a shift. And the message that came through was this:
This situation is here to serve you.
What felt like an ending… began to feel like a redirection. A path into the unknown. Maybe it leads to a better office. Maybe a storefront. Maybe a deeper expansion into my work in a completely new way.
I don’t fully know yet.
But I am open.
And that is the essence of detachment.
The law of detachment may feel like loss.
Like being pushed out of your comfort zone.
Like things are falling apart.
But in truth, it is a powerful release.
It creates space.
Space for something new.
Something more aligned.
Something we may not have been able to receive if we were still holding on.
And while it may not feel that way in the moment…
there will come a time where you can look back and understand why it happened.
The redirection.
The growth.
The lesson.
So I leave you with this:
What are you currently holding onto that is taking up space in your life?
And what could become possible if you allowed yourself to let it go?
If this message resonated and you're navigating your own season of letting go, you don’t have to do it alone. Energy work can help you process, release, and reconnect with your inner clarity.

Becoming Over Arriving
Comparison is the thief of joy.
There will always be people around us on different paths and at different stages in life. But what truly matters is not where you are on your journey…
It is who you are being in each moment of it.
This message came to me today while listening to a podcast, and it deeply resonated.
If we want to grow, reach new heights, or find peace within ourselves, we must first look inward:
-Who are you right now?
-What stories are you holding onto?
-Are you fully present in your experience?
These questions are not meant to overwhelm you, but to guide you.
Life will always have highs and lows.
The highs are meant to be fully felt and appreciated.
The lows are invitations to go deeper.
To ask yourself:
-What am I holding onto that no longer serves me?
-Why do I continue to carry it?
Now imagine a version of yourself who feels free, aligned, and connected to their passion. How would that version of you show up in this moment?
Notice the difference between where you are and who you could be.
Instead of resisting it, breathe into it.
Send it love.
Allow it to move through you.
Because where you are is always changing. But who you choose to be…That is where everything begins.
Comparison is the thief of joy.

A Personal Reflection
Right now in my life, I feel like I am stepping into a new level of growth.
In my business, that looks like expanding my reach, helping more people feel empowered, and creating deeper experiences through my work and community.
In my personal life, it looks like continuing to grow my spiritual practices, creating more art, and being intentional about the experiences I create with my daughter.
And even with all of this growth, I still have days where I feel off.
Days where I don’t feel as aligned, or as productive as I think I “should” be.
On those days, I remind myself of this message.
It’s not about where I am.
It’s about who I choose to be.
Sometimes that means letting go of expectations and allowing myself to simply be present.
That, in itself, is alignment.
On the days where I feel good, I remind myself that it’s not about rushing to the finish line.
It’s about the small, consistent steps I take that keep me grounded and moving forward.
Because the moment I start telling myself I should already be “there,” I pull myself out of alignment and into a space of lack.
And that’s not where I want to live.
So I come back to the present moment.
I come back to who I am being.
And I trust that this is what keeps me on a path that feels not only successful…
But peaceful, fulfilling, and true.
One Step at a Time
One Step at a Time - Gabrielle Dominguez
Continue on your path of self discovery and remind yourself often that you are on the right path.
Even when we are not sure where we are heading or how we will reach our visions, trust that every step we take brings us closer to a new layer of growth.
"One step at a time" reminds us of the compound effect that occurs whenever we take small actions toward our goals and dreams.
Our thoughts appear quickly in our minds. It is easy to imagine a vision for our life long before it becomes tangible in our reality.
For example, imagine you want to declutter your home. You may envision a fully functional, beautifully styled space with rooms you truly enjoy spending time in. Some areas may already reflect this vision, while others still need attention.
Seeing the end result can sometimes make us feel discouraged when it does not instantly appear in our lives.
So how do we turn our thoughts into reality?
By creating simple systems that allow our vision to slowly unfold.
Maybe you focus on one small area at a time. Perhaps three times this week you choose one space and take one small step toward improving it.
Before long, you begin to notice a difference. Each week builds upon the last. Eventually you realize that the compound effect of small actions creates real transformation.
Here are a couple questions to reflect on:
What visions do you currently have that you are not moving toward?
What simple systems could you create to begin moving toward those passions?
To give you some inspiration, here are a few areas I am personally working on right now.
Creating Art
Recently I have been crocheting again. It started with a commissioned piece that motivated me to pick it back up, and now I am working on a birthday present for my nephew.
I keep the goal in mind and work on these projects throughout the week. Not every day, but consistently.
I also found a local craft gathering group and will be attending my first meet up this Friday. My consistency with crochet opened the door to new connections and new creative ideas.
Movement and Meditation
I enjoy rotating between different types of movement and mindfulness practices like walking, biking, and guided meditation.
Right now I am really enjoying yoga. It combines movement and meditation together, and I have been practicing daily. Even on lower energy days it helps me feel balanced and grounded.
This habit started simply by being consistent once or twice a week. Over time it grew to three days, then five, and now I often practice six or seven times a week.
Reading
One goal I have neglected lately is reading.
So this week I am starting again with a very small step: reading for five to ten minutes.
Most of the time once I begin, I end up reading longer. But by setting the bar low, it becomes easy to start. After a couple weeks of consistency, I can gently raise the bar again.
My Simple Formula for Consistency
What you currently do × 2 weeks
After two weeks, raise the bar slightly × another 2 weeks
Your goal should feel realistic and attainable based on what you are already doing.
You can also create bonus goals. These are not expectations, but extra rewards when you go beyond your baseline.
For example, if my goal is reading ten minutes a day, any day I read longer becomes a bonus win.
This "one step at a time" approach reminds us that while we cannot leap to every goal overnight, steady steps eventually lead us exactly where we want to go.
Small actions, repeated consistently, create powerful transformation.
If you're feeling stuck or unsure about your next steps in life, energy work can help bring clarity and release the blocks holding you back.

Breathe Through It
Today I feel called to share a simple, yet impactful message.
Just breathe through it…
When we talk about breathing it can seem taboo as we have heard this said many times before. However, I would love to shed some light on the importance of the breathe and how you can use it as a stress reliever.
At times, life can feel overwhelming, negative self talk creeps in, self doubt emerges, and even feeling uncomfortable for no particular reason. Our first reaction may be to either bottle up the uncomfortable feelings or we cover it up with optimism. What we are doing is shoving the monster back into the closet. The more time we shut it in the closet, the bigger and louder it comes back.
What happens when we surrender into the feeling of discomfort? Well if you ask me you could either shove it in the closet and keep facing it over and over again…or you could face the monster head on. Choosing to face the fear head on seems to be challenging but when you look it right in the eyes only as an observer, you learn that it’s actually not so scary at all.
Pulling up all the uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, emotions, fears, limiting beliefs and just sitting with the big emotions can truly empower us. Once you face it head on take as many deep breathes in and out as desired. Along with sending love to the uncomfortable feelings allowing them to alchemize and feel lighter. With each breathe of love, feel your body start to relax, lean into it, and feel it dissolve right off of you. Who knew it could be this simple?
Breathe Through It: A Step-by-Step Process to Release Emotional Weight
Step 1: Find a Quiet Space
Begin by finding a comfortable and quiet space where you won’t be interrupted. Sit or lie down in a position that feels grounding and supportive for you.
Step 2: Focus on Your Breath
Take a deep inhale through your nose for a count of four, allowing your belly to expand like a balloon. Hold the breath for a count of two, then slowly exhale through your mouth for a count of six. Repeat this cycle three times, letting your breath slow and center you.
Step 3: Welcome the Feeling
Allow yourself to feel any discomfort, heaviness, or tension that arises. Instead of resisting or labeling it as “bad,” welcome it with curiosity and compassion. Picture yourself as an observer, gently acknowledging what comes up without judgment.
Step 4: Breathe Love Into the Emotion
As you identify the uncomfortable feeling or thought, imagine your breath as a warm, healing light. With each inhale, picture this light entering your body and wrapping around the emotion or thought. With each exhale, imagine the tension softening and releasing. Repeat until you feel a sense of lightness.
Step 5: Embrace Gratitude
Once you feel the emotion begin to shift or dissolve, thank yourself for showing up and allowing this process to unfold. You can silently affirm, “I honor and release this. I am grateful for this moment of clarity and healing.”
Step 6: Reflect and Care for Yourself
Take a few minutes to journal about your experience or simply reflect on any insights you gained. Follow up with an act of self-care—whether that’s enjoying a cup of tea, taking a walk, or anything else that brings you peace.
Infinite Possibilities
As the year rolls by and we step into the new month of November, I feel a powerful sense of a fresh start. Life is ever-changing, and looking back, I’m in awe of the personal growth that has shaped me over this past year. My mindset has expanded, my ability to listen to my body has deepened, and I’ve grown in understanding what truly nurtures my emotions. I am, in so many ways, a more aligned and grounded version of myself than I was just a year ago.
Despite the ups and downs that this year has brought, I find myself cherishing the simple things in life, valuing experiences above all. Each small moment, each experience, has added to the richness of my journey, reminding me of what truly matters.
With every new beginning comes the opportunity for new adventures. So, I have a question for you: if you could press the restart button in your life, what would you choose to create in this next chapter? I invite you today to take a moment for yourself—reflect on how far you’ve come, the growth you’ve experienced, and all the dreams you hold in your heart. Then, imagine your future self, standing fully in that vision, with all of your dreams already here.
Life is filled with infinite possibilities, waiting for us to embrace them. Let this new month be a reminder that you are the creator of your reality, and your journey is uniquely yours to design.
Infinite Possibilities Exercise: Your Vision for the Future

Celebrate: Take a moment to appreciate yourself and your journey. You’ve come so far, and every step has mattered!
🌟 Part 2: Visualize Your Future
Choose Your Focus Areas: Think about the areas of your life you’d like to create new opportunities in. It could be health, relationships, personal experiences, or career goals—whatever speaks to you.
Draw or Write It Out: On a new page, put yourself at the center and surround yourself with all the things you want to bring into your life. You can draw simple doodles, or write out your goals around you.
Add Feelings: Write down a few words that capture how this future version of yourself feels—happy, excited, peaceful, successful—whatever resonates.
💖 Part 3: Embody Your Vision
Reflect on Your Creation: Look over your vision and take it all in. Feel the possibility of each dream coming to life.
Treat Yourself to Self-Care: Give yourself some time for self-care. Whether it's a walk, a cozy tea, or some quiet time, choose something that makes you feel good and grounded.
Follow Your Excitement: Trust that your excitement will lead you. Don’t worry about the "how"—just let what feels right guide you, one step at a time.
Remember: Life is full of infinite possibilities, and you hold the power to create your reality. Take each day as an opportunity to lean into what lights you up, and watch as your vision unfolds in beautiful and unexpected ways.
Peaks and Valleys
Life is full of natural highs and lows, peaks and valleys. This year has truly shown me both ends of the spectrum—deep moments of purging and change that felt like the wind had been knocked out of me, and yet, at the same time, some of the most profound and exciting adventures of my life have come forward. New opportunities, fresh creativity, and “firsts” that light up my soul.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned from these experiences is that growth isn’t linear. The journey toward personal evolution isn’t a steady uphill climb; it’s filled with winding paths that take us through peaks, valleys, and everything in between.
When I’m in the midst of a valley, where everything feels heavier, it’s easy to forget that those challenging moments serve a purpose. But here’s the thing: my valleys today are never as low as where I once was. And even my toughest moments are on higher ground than where I started. Each valley has taught me valuable lessons, ones that I can only understand by going through them, not around them.
On the flip side, when I’m standing on a peak, I feel the rush of possibility and the beauty of all that life has to offer. It’s a reminder of how far I’ve come, how much I’ve grown, and the endless opportunities still waiting. Those highs remind me to soak in the joy, celebrate progress, and allow myself to dream even bigger.
Then, there’s the neutral space—the quiet middle ground between the peaks and valleys. This space is crucial for rest and reflection. It’s here that I find the calm to look back at where I’ve been and set intentions for where I want to go. This middle ground is often overlooked, but it’s an important part of the journey—just as much as the highs and lows.
Ultimately, I’ve come to understand that all of these phases are essential to my growth. None of them are mistakes. Each one offers something unique to learn, and the deeper insight is this: everything in life is happening for me, not to me. Every challenge, every joy, and every quiet moment is part of a bigger, more beautiful picture of who I’m becoming.
So, if you find yourself in a valley right now, know that it’s a stepping stone to your next peak. And if you’re on a peak, savor it and let it inspire you to keep climbing. No matter where you are, trust that your path is unfolding just as it should.
Let’s embrace the peaks, honor the valleys, and cherish the spaces in between, knowing that all of it is part of the amazing adventure of life.
